Ecologic - Powerhouse Exhibition

The Powerhouse Museum's EcoLogic exhibition has been completely redeveloped to explore one of the world’s hottest topics today: climate change. Discover the science behind global warming and what we can do to prevent it from getting worse.

Explore the evidence that humans are causing climate change by burning coal, oil and gas (fossil fuels). An enormous 3D graph shows the highs and lows of carbon dioxide concentrations over the last 400,000 years, with a notable sharp rise in levels in the last 100 years. What climate change will mean for our future? Scientists predict a hotter Earth, acidic oceans (that might mean less seafood!), wilder weather and rising sea levels. See a large model of Sydney’s Circular Quay and Opera House under 10 metres of water, illustrating what could happen if there is a temperature increase of just three degrees Celsius!
