You will prepare a signature regional dish every second week including; Burgundy: Coq au Vin & Gratin Dauphinois (chicken casserole in red wine & sliced potatoes baked with crème) and Provence: Gigot d’ Agneau & Ratatouille (lamb roast with eggplant, zucchini, pepper & tomato casserole). Coco Voinot, a native of Rein, in the champagne region of North East France, will be your native French-speaking specialist. She will help you onto the path of becoming bi-lingual, in a supportive class that is also good fun!

Participants will learn to function confidently in French in different day to day settings, ranging from, greetings and French social culture, to etiquette, gestures and taboos. The course will also cover how to order at restaurants/cafes, as well as tips on reading a French menu. Coco said; "This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is curious by nature and enjoys experiencing new tastes and food from a different country. Big Kids, Big Toys - CSIRO Exhibition

'Big Kids, Big Toys' is an exhibition that looks at the staff at Australia’s largest research agency, and the "wizz-bang-ery" they get to play with.

Who wouldn’t be excited to come to work every day when work is a 70-metre radio telescope and you’re discovering galaxies and listening to the creation of the universe, or you are living a childhood dream and smashing atoms? 'Big Kids, Big Toys' will exhibit the ‘big toys’ that CSIRO staff play with – either the actual toys themselves, or films, models, posters or pictures. These aren’t the stars of the exhibition however, the wall plates will show pictures of the real stars: the staff, and feature a photo of them at ‘play’ (work) and a small interview with them about what they enjoy about working with their big toy.

Big Kids - Big Toys
11th -17th October 2010
Location: CSIRO Discovery, Black Mountain Laboratories
Clunies Ross Street Acton ACT 2601

Opening hours
