Under this approach undergraduates attend university full-time and work part-time for the first six months of the calendar year then during the second half of the year they work full-time and attend university part-time. This approach allows the undergraduates to complete their university degree quicker than completing it on a permanent part-time basis, whilst permitting on the job training and the gaining of practical experience in the areas taught at university.
