Welcome to the new Port Macquarie High School Careers site. This site is hosted by MHS Careers, which has excellent links to other careers sites, state based career information updates, and a careers event calender. You can register your email address with MHS to receive regular career updates to your own email account. This service is available to all members of our school community - students, parents and staff.
Additionally, it contains our own Port High page which I will update with more local careers news regularly. Students should also note that I will also be emailing them with relevant information from time to time. If you have not been active with your school email account, then do check it regularly. This will be particularly important for Year 12 students, who will be confronted with a large number of opportunities that may require application with strict closing dates.
The following are some proposed CAREERS EVENTS FOR 2011:
* Regional Universities Road Show - Feb 15 (Year 12 ).
* Business Industry Showcase - May 17 ( Years 10,11,12 ).
* University Of Newcastle Schools Visit Day -30 June ( Year 12 ).
* Future Options Expo - 28 July ( Year 12 ).
* Southern Cross Uni Open Day -25 Oct. ( Year 11 ).
This calender will be updated in due course.
