Scholarships
The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) will award three National scholarships in 2011. These scholarships are open to Australian citizens completing year 12 in 2011 as well as to students who completed Year 12 in 2010 and took a gap year in 2011. Each scholarship covers the full tuition fees for three years of study at the College and is valued at over $60,000. Applications for the 2012 National Scholarships close Friday 21 October 2011.

The ICMS International Student Scholarship is open to all international students applying to study at ICMS. The value of the scholarship is AUD$25,000 which covers tuition fees for subjects studies in the one-year Diploma course (Hospitality Management; Event Management; and International Tourism) OR first year studies of the two-year Associate Degree of Business (Property; Retail; and Sport), as well as on-campus accommodation for one semester.

New forensic science facility at UWS
The opening of a new joint forensic science facility with the NSW Police Force and the University of Western Sydney will make it tougher for criminals to evade arrest and prosecution.

The Joint Facility for Forensic Science Research and Training is a unique million-dollar hub which can create crime scene scenarios in locations as a diverse as a residential home, illegal drug lab, motor vehicle and outdoor area.

The NSW Minister for Police and Emergency Services, the Hon. Michael Gallacher MLC, the NSW Police Commissioner Mr Andrew Scipione APM and UWS Vice-Chancellor Professor Janice Reid AM opened the facility on Tuesday 19 July 2011.

Based at the UWS Hawkesbury campus, the building is the only purpose-built crime scene facility in Australia and its design draws inspiration from forensic facilities around the world. UWS students and scientists and NSW Police will use the facility for training and researching new forensic techniques.
