One of the partner organisations is Lattitude Global Volunteering.
Their program offers secondary students a pathway to engage with global development issues and leads to a worthwhile volunteering placement in the Asia/Pacific region after Year 12.
They still have a few sponsored placements available for 18-20 year olds to volunteer in China, India or Vietnam for 4-5 months, leaving in August 2012.

UOW Selective Entry
In February 2012, the University of Wollongong launched a refreshed program which provides an opportunity for Year 12 students to secure preferred entry in their course/program of interest.
Named UOW Selective Entry; the students select UOW and UOW selects them. This program replaces the Early Entry program that has been operating for over 10 years.
What does this change mean for me?
The biggest change that may affect you is the introduction of academic eligibility criteria. This means that not everyone will be able to apply to the program. You must meet the published elgibility criteria to be considered for Selective Entry.
The other difference is we are including some of our elite degrees that were not offered as part of Early Entry.
To give you a quick idea about how Selective Entry will work, the key elements are;
The availability of the majority of undergraduate degrees
The offering of UOW flagship/elite courses
Eligibility determined by published minimum academic criteria
Students will be assessed according to their academic performance and/or interview, or other selection criteria
Applications will be online, opening 1 July and closing on 15 August 2012. For a full list of Key Dates for Selective Entry in 2012: http://www.uow.edu.au/content/groups/public/@web/@unia/documents/doc/uow121944.pdf.
You may be required to attend an on-campus interview or other selection event at in late September to be eligible for Selective Entry
You will learn the outcome of your application between 10 - 12 October 2012, this is before HSC exams commence
For a full listing of all courses on offer for Selective Entry in 2012, and their minimum criteria required to apply: http://www.uow.edu.au/content/groups/public/@web/@unia/documents/doc/uow121943.pdf
