The Cumberland Careers Forum aims to enhance Career Education for all secondary students whose Career Advisers are members of this Forum. The Cumberland Careers Forum is a non profit organisation.  • Students will have access to quality and constantly updated services and information as a result of Regular Careers Advisers Meetings. • A forum for the discussion of matters pertaining to Career Education in member high schools. • Up-to-date information on employment and education trends specifically jobs requirements within our Forum area. • Providing an avenue for regular communication between members. • Providing ongoing professional development and collegial support for Careers Advisers and others involved in providing assistance related to Career Education for young people (eg: Industry Visits; Guest Speakers; Outside organisations that give regular reports). • Organised career education activities for the students of member high schools. • An organised annual Careers Expo. • Representation of the Network on other committees and groups as the need arises. • Regular reports and updates from organisations such as : Western Sydney Institute of TAFE, UWS, Centrelink, JPP Providers, Vocational Education Consultants, various office holders at DET, etc. • Liaison with industry contacts, Private Providers, Group Training Companies, etc. • Careers Advisers from Government and Non-Government high schools in the Parramatta, Hills and nearby areas. • Representatives from Jobs Pathways Programs, Tertiary Institutions, Centrelink, Department of Education and Training, Vocational Education consultants, Catholic Education Office and Local Commerce. • Chairperson: Catherine Rumi Badger • Meeting Convenor: Andrew Dane • Minutes: Lyn Short • Web Site: Ron Sylvester • Morning Tea Organiser: Fiona Woods/E.
